Tips for a Smooth Cake Smash Session 🍰✈️
Planning a cake smash session for your little one is such a fun and memorable way to celebrate their first year—and a little prep can make the experience even smoother (and sweeter)!
Here are a few helpful things to bring along for your session:
-A small towel or wipes for quick clean-up
-A favorite small snack (like puffs) to hide behind the cake in case your little one needs some extra encouragement
-A plastic grocery bag for any messy clothes
-And of course, don’t forget the cake! A 4" or 6" cake from Publix is the perfect size for smashing fun if you'd like to go the simple route.
✨ Timing is everything!
Scheduling the session around your child’s nap schedule can make a huge difference if it's possible. A well-rested baby is much more likely to enjoy the experience (and hopefully give us those adorable, messy smiles!).
📅 It’s best to book your session when your baby is around 6–10 months old. This gives us plenty of time to plan and create a custom set, especially if you have a special theme in mind—like an airplane adventure!
